July 2013 - State President's Report

July already!! I hope members and their families are keeping warm and managing some fun activities during the colder months.

Last month, members enjoyed a fun night out at Cougars Rugby Club with a local band arranged and hosted by Golden Grove Branch. Gail, one of the lead vocals, is a member of Golden Grove Branch and it was pleasing to see members welcome Gail and fellow band members to the stage. Attendance was lower than hoped, however it was a successful event.

June 2013 - State President's Report

As members would be aware, the PWPSA Annual General Meeting took place in May, with the election of State Management Committee for the coming year. I was very pleased to accept the role of State President for the second year running and congratulate fellow elected State Management Committee Members to their roles which are as follows:
• State President – Nick Figas
• State Vice President – Brett Burford
• State Secretary – Tony Lay
• State Treasurer - Stuart Dunk
• State Membership Officer – Deanne Perry
• State Activities Officer – Lynda Watson

May 2013 - State President's Report

My first year in the role of State President has been quite rewarding for a variety of reasons. I am pleased to report that for the first time in many years, South Australia has not reported a decline in membership with approximately 55 current members.

Mar/Apr 2013 - State President's Report

Firstly, my apology for not having prepared a President’s Report last month – I have combined the two months together into this one report. I hope all members and their families have been well since my last update.

Feb 2013 - State President's Report

Happy New Year to members of PWPSA! I hope each of you enjoyed the festive season with your children, families and other loved ones. 2013 plans to be a big year for PWPSA. State Management Committee is already focussing on a number of activities to bring members from each Branch together to enjoy some fun times.

Late last year, two functions were held for Members. One being the annual Xmas Family Picnic and the other an adult Xmas Dance at Cougars Rugby Club. Those that attended provided very positive feedback.

Dec 2012 - State President's Report

Tis the season to be jolly!! How quickly the year has gone with Christmas and New Year just around the corner.

Congratulations to PWP SA Reynella Branch on hosting a fantastic Halloween Dance for all Branch Members and their children. There was a very pleasing attendance with some wonderful costumes worn by children and adults alike. Despite some initial hiccups with the planned DJ, Reynella Branch was able to recruit some top notch DJs to entertain those present. Well done to the three lads who entertained us all and provided a great array of music for us to dance to.

October 2012 - State President's Report

October is here and snow has fallen!! An unusual event for our State!!

September 2012 - State President's Report

Well, Spring has sprung and already we are experiencing some lovely sunny days. I hope Branches have some fun upcoming outdoor activities planned. And let’s hope this weather stays for the Narnu Farm Camp in October.

This month we need to focus our attention on planning and finalising detail for Narnu Farm. It would be great if Branch President’s could follow up interest at a local level so that forms can be collated and processed. Any assistance during the course of the camp weekend from State Committee and Branch Members is welcome.

August - 2012 President's Report

Here we are in August already with spring just around the corner. A great time for Branches
to start planning for some fun outdoor activities.
